In 2007, I received an electric bill that quite literally changed my life. As I opened the envelope and glanced at the amount due, I felt nothing short of panic. The astronomical cost didn’t just anger me, but it was completely unaffordable! How can they get away with charging these prices? I never thought I would need to budget so much of my paycheck just to afford my power bill. The outrageous cost inspired me to pick up my computer and find a more affordable option. I quickly found myself spirally down a long rabbit hole of information on energy costs, energy sources, energy inflation, energy regulators, and energy alternatives. Needless to say, solar energy was the right choice for me. Not only have I installed solar on every home I’ve lived in for the past 17 years, but that one electric bill in 2007 sparked my life-long passion for helping others find more affordable energy solutions.
